How to Knit the Five a Day Cardigan (Video Tutorial + Free Pattern)

After a bit of a long hiatus, we’re back today with another one of our very favourite and useful knitting tutorials! As you know, every now and then we like to feature some of the wonderful and free knitting tutorials available to us all online, and today we’re sharing a new tutorial available and created by Yarnspirations, where we can learn how to knit the totally adorable Five a Day Cardigan (free pattern available as well!).

The Five a Day Cardigan a classic fair isle yoke cardigan with a twist. The large shade range of Bernat Softee Baby allows you to work up this cardigan with a fruit inspired yoke motif. Knit in stocking stitch and ribbing for the colors and cuffs, the fair isle yoke is worked flat.

To knit up this projects as shown, you will need the Bernat Softee Baby Yarn in the following colours: Aqua, Soft Fern, Antique White and Soft Red. The pattern for this cardigan provides sizes from 6 months to 24 months. So this little project is perfect for gifting to the smallest person in your life, but also to challenge your knitting skills and learn some new techniques.

Although this project is not too difficult to complete, there might be some new techniques for you to learn especially if you’re a beginner knitter, but watching Mary Beth on the video, will make it easier to learn and complete this lovely cardigan!
